MARTY MCEACHEAN, HEAD COACH:

St Johns Track City USA was founded by Marty McEachean (Head Coach of Creeks Track & Field) with the goal of creating a culture of FUN, Excitement, Education & EXCELLENCE for our Track & Field and Running community.

St Johns Track City USA will partner with other Track & Field and Running organizations to bring FUN amateur and elite events, speakers and guests to our community in an effort to bring out the passion for running and competing, as we inspire the next generation of runners & athletes to strive to be the best they can be.

As the Creeks Track & Field Head Coach, Coach McEachean established Creeks Track & Field in 2014 to meet the demand of a track & field club in the St Johns County area.  In 2014, over 100 youths participated in track events such as short and mid distance sprints and hurdles. 

In the Spring of 2015, long distance events such as the 1600m were introduced.  The basics of long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus were introduced as field events.  Creeks Track & Field continued to grow further in Spring 2016 and expanded its ages to as young as 5.

In the Spring of 2017 enrollment exploded to over 240 athletes and in 2018 and 2019 the program continued to grow, and we introduced the Mini Program for 5, 6, and 7 year olds.  In 2022, the program brought in over 350 athletes eager to participate in track & field.
